LifeCare Alliance
About Us
Formed in 1898, LifeCare Alliance is central Ohio’s first in-home health care agency and the nation’s second agency to deliver Meals-on-Wheels. Today, LifeCare Alliance provides a comprehensive array of nutrition, health, and support services to older adults and individuals with a medical challenge or disability - keeping them safe, independent, and in their own homes, right where they want to be.
Serving over 30,000 clients each year, LifeCare Alliance saves over $2.5B in Ohio tax dollars annually. The nonprofit agency has emerged as a national leader in merger collaborations, having successfully completed numerous program assumptions (including Meals-on-Wheels of Madison, Marion, Logan, and Champaign counties) and mergers (including Project OpenHand-Columbus, Columbus Cancer Clinic, IMPACT Safety, Central Ohio Diabetes Association, and Diabetes Dayton) - all of which have reduced costs and redundancy of services in central Ohio, resulting in more funds for programs, enhanced services, and an increase in client access to basic needs. The agency has also launched several social enterprise endeavors to provide added funding for our clients, including L.A. Catering, Meals-for-Kids, corporate wellness, immunizations, and travel vaccines
Fueled by thousands of individual and group volunteers who deliver meals and assist at our food production facilities, the agency continues its Founder's 125-year old vision to ''take care of those no one else pays any attention to...'' through the generosity of the central Ohio community.
